InvisHosting collects minimal data required by EU law: IP addresses (for upload cooldown enforcement and abuse prevention), file metadata (filename, size, upload time), browser cookies (for preferences), and ad-related data through AADS. We comply with GDPR and UK data protection laws and do not track browsing habits or sell information to third parties.

The 300MB limit exists due to server storage space limitations, bandwidth considerations for fast downloads, and to prevent service abuse. This allows us to provide free file hosting while maintaining good performance for all users.

Files are stored indefinitely unless: you request deletion, the file violates our Terms of Service, or the file remains inactive (no downloads) for 90 days. Temporary uploads are automatically deleted after the specified duration.

The cooldown period (5 minutes for anonymous users, 1 minute for registered users) prevents abuse and spam, allocates server resources fairly among all users, and maintains service stability. Register for a free account to reduce your cooldown.

Files are accessible only to people who have the unique file ID. However, anyone with the file ID can access your file. Do not upload sensitive or confidential information. For truly private storage, use an encrypted service.

Most file types are accepted. Executable files (.exe, .bat, .cmd, etc.) and certain other potentially dangerous file types are blocked for security reasons. All uploads are scanned for malware using VirusTotal.

When uploading, you can toggle "Temporary upload" and select a duration. The file will be automatically and permanently deleted after the specified time. This is useful for sharing files that only need to be available for a short period.

If you have a registered account, you can delete your files from your dashboard. For anonymous uploads, please contact us with the file ID and we will remove it for you.
